I think I have faced the same problem a number of times in the past. There ahve also been instances when I was billed when the phone at the other end was engaged. And for all we know, netguruindia might be doing this deliberately. As far as I have learnt, these card sellers buy large amounts of airtime from telecom companies and package them as cards. Competition in the phone cards industry is stiff and if a particular company steals a minute or two off every card, there'e no way we'll ever find that out. And considering that they sell hunderds of thousands of cards, these extra minutes add up to a hefty profit. I think all this only underscores the need for buying cards from anly reputed companies.
