ASHA
FOR EDUCATION.

"This site has been created with a view to bringing to the  members the Indian Students Association, the most reliable phone cards at the lowest possible rates.

We endeavor to obtain discounts from wholesellers and telecom companies and pass them on to you.

One of our important objectives is to beware you of the fine print and hidden charges often associated with phone cards.

It is a sad reality that frauds are rampant in the market for telecom services. In fact, it appears that the bigger the company, the more insidious the fraud - AT&T, MCI, Sprint, all are involved to some degree of the other. Misrepresentation and under-representation of facts, pricing scams - advertising  grossly discounted rates and not honoring it - AT&T has been convicted of it, slamming (illegally taking over victim's phone services without permission  - MCI does this to someone every fifteen minutes), coercion through obnoxious telemarketing - there are many tricks up their sleeve.

Most people suspect something is wrong but they don't have the time to see through it. Oftentimes, they realize only after having burnt their fingers...

We have compiled a detailed dossier on  the different kinds of frauds prevalent at the moment. Please check them out in the frauds section. It is expected that this section  will help the students avoid falling prey to them."
